We interviewed several people at work but will only be hiring one, which of course means that several will not get the job. One of the candidates that we decided to pass on wrote us this response after we told him that we had decided to hire someone else. Enjoy :)

I must tell you that I'm quite upset by this decision. I have in front of me a letter from Salt Lake Community College's Student Employment Services from your company stating "Student Employment Services has received a request from [your company]. In as much as you have previously been given information about their employment opportunity, they asked that we contact you. They are interested in having you contact them regarding the position if you are still interested." So this is what I did. I went to the college, discussed this letter with them, and than contacted you for an interview. I faithfully waited around for two weeks for the call from you, because I sincerly wanted the job, and made no attempt to apply elsewhere because I wanted to stay loyal because I really wanted the job, and thought my chances of being hired were great. But instead I got misled that I had hopes of getting the job, and instead was turned down for reasons that I'm unaware, and feel that the long delay is a lack of irresponsibiluty and professionalism. And have no desire to work for a company that is uncordinated in its hiring techniques. If your company was not interested in me, than why did it go through all of the trouble contacting the college to get a hold of me? because even the email exchange between the two of you also stated that I was qualified, and that you wanted to get with me about the position. I feel that all my efforts were a waste of time, and now I'm back to square one. Thanks for getting my hopes up over nothing.
